THE FAMILY OF GEORGE AND KATHERINE NIKIFORAKIS

George NIKIFORAKIS and his wife Katherine nee ELEFTHERIOU came to the United States with their infant daughter Eleni and settled in New Hampshire in the early 1900's. Katherine was a young bride in her teens and George was in his middle twenties. They came with the hope of starting a new life for themselves and their children, Helen (Eleni), Peter, Evridiki (Dicka), Elizabeth (Betty), Kalliopi (Evelyn), Despoina (Lillian), and Leon. They also raised three nephews, the sons of George Nikiforakis' brother Manoli , Peter, James and Nikolas.
