Rachel Long Abraham, Kate Long and Lina Long Clark were sisters of my grandfather, John Heinrich Long, born in Gruegel, Prussia, Germany 8-01-1855. He was married to Sophia E.Rauch. They lived most of their married life in Trego Co., KS.
John and his sister Rachel came to Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. in about 1869-1871 Lina or Lena was a sister or half sister. John's parents were John and Millie Long.
Rachel married Charles Abraham. In 1907 they were living in St. Louis, MO. They had five children: Louise, Clarence, Caroline,
Harry and Carol. My mother was named after Caroline and Louise.
Caroline married James Campbell in 1911.
Lina married Charles Clark. They had Eleanor,b. Sept. 1889, possibly a son named Joe, a son, Raymond, a girl b.Jan. or Feb. 1895 and another baby in 1905. They moved from Chicago, Ill. to Ramona, Indian Terr., in Dec.1895.(now, Oklahoma) Ramona is south of Bartlesville, OK.
We have nothing on Kate Long but name as apparently Rachel Long Abraham, Lina Long Clark and John Henry Long's sister per letter from Rachel's dtr. Louise to John and wife, Sophia Rauch Long in 1907.
