Knez-Melka and Weatherford-Hefley Families

I started investigating my family history in 1979, doing first-hand research in Montgomery and Macoupin Counties in Illinois where the principal lines of my mother's family had settled between 1830 and 1850. My father's ancestors were another matter, and only in the last two years have I been able to obtain information about my Bohemian ancestors from a researcher in the Czech Republic.

Not only is this a work in progress, there is still more work to do to get all the information entered into FTM from all those typed and hand-written family group sheets and pedigree charts, as well as innumerable 3x5 index cards. I'm working on it.
