* Martha's Genealogical Site*

Updated December 13, 2000

I am researching the lines of Washburn, Pigg, Lewis, Phillips, Pace, Bowman, Elliott, and Dawson, among others.

My husband and I recently returned from a vacation to England and Wales. We spent four very interesting days on Ynys Mon, otherwise known as Anglesey, in Wales. I had a chance to meet some distant cousins, see the house where my ancestor was born in 1723, see his father's soldering iron, and visit many places of family interest. It was quite a trip and one reason genealogy is so much fun.

I did find out some more about my TOULOUSE ancestors (my most recent online plea), and it seems many of Louis TOULOUSE's ancestors came from Normandy. So perhaps my next trip to Europe will include a side trip there . . .

  • DeLong Family photo text (1 KB)
    The complete list of who's in the DeLong family photo of 1921. The house behind them, built in 1838, still stands, but just barely. It was rehabbed in the 1970s but the new owner has let it become overgrown. It is now completely covered in trees, vines, and other vegetation.
