BARTELL/BARTEL/BARTL/BARTHEL FROM HUNGARY. (CAME TO AMERICA THRU ELLIS ISLAND 24 JULY,1913) Marie Magdalene BARTELL CAIN came with her father, Franz/Frank BARTEL,Age 41, her brother, Peter, age 16 and an Uncle, Conrad BARTEL, age 31 to America when she was about 14 years old. Their port of departure was Hamburg, Germany on the ship "Pennsylvania". Her mother and other siblings stayed in Hungary. They were all born in Lazerfeld, Hungary but were living in Rahaza/Rudoldsnad Hungary when they departed for America. It is unknown if the other family members eventually came to America. Several years after arriving in America, Marie lost contact with her family and never saw or heard from them again. She married Floyd R CAIN in 1924 and lived in the Detroit, MI area. They moved to northeast Kansas at the end of WWII. Would love to make contact with any descendants of above names.
