The family connection to the circus began around 1850 when Joseph Taylor left home in to go tenting with W H Stevenson. In 1868 he is recorded on tour with Hutchinson and Tayleure Circus. At the end of that tour application was made to winter in Swansea and they opend on 9th November in Wind Street. Other interesting family members include; David Taylor Ringmaster. 1868-1937 Henry Warne the circus clown. Frederick Frank Taylor Circus Musician and Swansea Police Officer. 1856-1914 Henry Blogg of the Crommer lifeboat. William Balldock Coal Merchant of Dartford Kent. 1887-1966 David Llewellyn Kneath carpenter for Fred Ley born Swansea 1891 died 1958
