| I live in Paisley, Scotland having come here from N Ireland in 1969. I'm trying to trace my ancestors with a hunch that I may be descended from the Knoxes who were 'planted' in Ulster in 1609-1611 from Scotland. I have only managed to get back as far as Brice Knox who was the father of Alexander Knox of Kilrea Co Derry N Ireland b. 1863. Alexander Knox was my grandfather and was married to a Margaret McKay. I would welcome contributions to this site from anyone who can help me further and I would love to claim descendancy from John Knox the Scottish Reformer! |
