The complete database of our families contains approximately 9754 people, all descended from those early North Carolina settlers who migrated from Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, Scotland, England and France. Our folks remained in NC but many relatives moved on in the mid seventeenth century. I am using Genealogical Report forms to display the different family lines. Beginning with three: BURGESS, KNOTT, STEDMAN and later adding MacLEOD, HOWIE/HOWEY, BILLUE/BALLEW, JOHNSON, LASATER/LASSITER, CLARK, UZZELL to name a few. One never knows, you may find your missing link here. NOTE: "THE STEDMAN FAMILY OF NORTH CAROLINA" BY CAROLYN BURGESS KNOTT 974 PAGES OF IN-DEPTH RERSEARCH COONCERNING THE DESCENTS OF NATHAN ALEXANDER STEDMAN AND PRUDENCE HURLBUT STEDMAN. AFTER THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR, THIS COUPLE WITH THREE SONS AND ONE DAUGHTER LEFT NEW LONDON, CT AND SETTLED IN CHATHAM COUNTY, NC AND CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NC. THIS BOOK TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THOSE DESCENDANTS WHO LATER MIGRATED TO TENNESSEE, ARKANSAS AND TEXAS. SOME PICTURES HAVE BEEN INCLIDED. THE BOOOK IS HARD BOUND, DOUBLE STITCHED WITH A BURGANDY FAUX LETHER COVER. GOLD STAMPED TITLE.
