I have been researching the Pearson family who lived for more than five hundred years at Pool Bank (or Powebanke) in the village of Witherslack in Westmorland. I have a great deal of original documentation and transcripts from documents in the National Archive stored in Kendal. The Pearsons were among the original Quakers and were effected by the ups and downs of the agrarian and industrial revolutions. I am a direct descendent of the family. |
