Notes for WILLIAM ISRAEL CATRETT:
On July 28, 1838 he registered the purchase of 43.25 acres of farmland in Pike County, Alabama. On the 2nd of Feb. 1852 he added another 43.53 acres to that.

In 1861 he enlisted as a private in company I, 15th Alabama. in 1862 after the Battle of Oakes he was
discharged with disabilities. Serving in this Company were other cousins, William Monroe Catrett, John
M. Catrett and William Catrett.
