My parents are Knox's and Burton's from Vermont. Their parents and grandparents were from the following families, Knox, Brophy, Peryer, Joy, Burton, Howe, Kempton and Josselyn. These families were all either from Vermont or Upstate New York in the early to mid 1800's. My mother, Marion Burton Knox, has done extensive research into my parents geneology.
