Mike Knowles Family of Gravesend, Kent, England

I am after any information on the Knowles family from Gravesend in Kent, England. My father was Ernest Charles Henry Knowles born 7 May 1923, died 15 Oct 1997. Brothers Tom, Ken, Les and sisters Peggy and Kath. I have some information on these but there are a lot of gaps, both ancestors and children etc.
Their mother was Jessie Annie Cole and father was Ernest William Knowles. Not much known about their brothers and sisters or ancestors.
