Hi! I'm Wendy (Ziemendorf) Knoll and I am as green as green can be to computer's and genealogy...but I am about to learn very fast aren't I?
I am starting to search the Ziemendorf surname. My father is Jack Eugene Ziemendorf, and my mother is Sidney (Cindy) Gavinski-Wheir. My paternal grandparent's were Willard Alonson Ziemendorf and Elsie Shupe. My maternal grandparent's are Peter Gavinski, and the late Margaret (Horvath) Wheir.

Other surnames in my family would be:

My other maternal great grandparent's were, I believe, Frank Gavinski and Martha M. (Corda). I have one small sheet of dates on this side of the family, so I have little to offer for information at this time.

Martha was born 10 JAN. 1887 and died 27 JAN. 1956
Frank was born 06 MAR. 1876 and died 04 AUG. 1955
They were married 02 MAY 1905.

My paternal great grandparent's were Frederick William Ziemendorf and Henrietta Ellen (Janes).

Frederick and Henrietta were married 31 MAY 1893 in Sherwood, WI.

Frederick was born 27 MAR. 1866 in Port Washington, WI and died 28 JUN. 1937 in Neillsville, WI.

Henrietta was born 06 NOV. 1874 in Sherwood, WI and died 30 AUG. 1943 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI

They had 4 children : Mamie, Myrtle, Willard, and Frederick W.

Also, Benjamin Franklin Shupe and Julia (Emerson).

Benjamin Franklin Shupe was born 21 APR. 1865 in Auburn, WI and died 24 MAR. 1921 in WI.

Julia Emerson was born 06 JUN. 1871 in La Crosse County, WI and died 15 MAY 1933 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Benjamin and Julia were married in 1889.

They had 10 children:

Lee, Elva, Glen, Vivian, John, Helen, Ione, Nettie, Mabel, and Elsie.

Some of the area's that my ancestor's came from were Norway, Germany, and Hungary.
