Buckman/Knutson Family Tree 1700=Present From Europe to MN

I have started this family tree for my kids. I am still researching and will be updating this page in the future.

The family members that came over from the "old" country were from Denmark, Norway, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Ireland, Prussia and a few I have not found yet I am sure. They settled mainly in the midwest, Minnesota to be exact, but a few have ventured to the west and south.

The surnames are fairly common, Knutson, Buckman, Windisch, Schulte, Nelson, Miller, Hess, Harris and more. I do have a few unusual names that have stumped me so far, Op De Locht in Belgium and Parrien (maybe Parren or Parrin) in Holland are 2 of the surnames and I have a given name of Sanke of Denmark that has also given me a hard time.

I would like to Thank Luella Claessens Custer, Bruce Keller and Scott Boerner for a majority of our Claessens information. If you are searching a Claessens line you may want to search on Claessen (with out the s) as well. Also a special Thank you to Darryl & Darlene Onstad,who have provided us with the information on Sever Knutson's parents brothers and sisters. We made contact with them in May via the internet and have been having a great time exchanging family info. I have provided a link to their family tree here as well.
