I am researching the Leahy, Kane, and Hagel lines.
Patrick Leahy emigrated from Ireland with Peter Robinson in 1825 to Douro, Ontario, Canada. He is my gr. gr. grandfather.

My gr. grandfather is Michael Leahy married to Bridget Torpey. they moved to Lost Nation, Iowa area about 1870 and then to Nebraska early 1900. Michael died in Wayne, NE 1911. Bridget died in San Deigo, CA 1932.

My gr. father is Francis (Frank) Leahy married to Mary Winefred Kane 1895 in Humphrey, NE;

My father is Eugene Michael Leahy married to Florence W. Hagel 1938. Lived in Rushville, NE

I also have information on the Torpey line is anyone is searching

My Gr. Gr. Grandfather is Patrick Kane who married Mary O'Malley and emigrated from Co. Mayo Ireland about 1848.
Gr. Grandfather is John Kane who married Cecelia O'Boyle and moved from PA to NE prior to 1880.
Gr. mother is Mary W. Kane Leahy.

My Maternal Gr. Grandfather is Frederick Hagel married to Ernestina Holm who emmigrated from Germany in 1885. Grandfather is Charles Otto Hagel married to Bertha Bartz. Mother is Florence Hagel Leahy.

2004: I have put all my Hagel Family History onto a CD. If you are researching the Hagel name, please email me.

My husbands lines are: Arne Knudtson from the Hallingsdal Valley in Norway 1847. The Jacob Merkel families that emigrated from Schleswig-Holstein area in the early 1880's to Iowa and Nebraska. The Charles Gardiner families that emigrated from Cirencester/Stroud England area to Nebraska.
