The Koch's & Philbin's settled in the New York City area around the turn of the century but are now scattered throughout the United States.
Charles Koch (b.1876 in Frankfurt am Oder)immigrated through Ellis Island in 1900; married Fannie Fasciszewska (b. 1891 in Krakow, Poland; Ellis Island 1906) in 1910, and had a son George Edward Koch, my father, born August 6, 1911. He married Margaret Mary Philbin (b. March 13, 1911).
Thomas Philbin and Bridget (Taheny) Philbin came from County Mayo, Ireland, to the US through Boston aboard the SS Canadian with their eight children: Mary Ann, Margaret, Bridget, Kate, Michael, Alphonsa, Thomas, and John. Michael Philbin married Mary Byrne and one of their daughters was Margaret Mary Philbin, my mother.
The Middleton's and Searson's have been in the United States since before the Revolution and are from South Carolina but have ties in Louisiana, Texas, and Maryland.
Edgar Miles Middleton, b. 1881, Brazos Cty, TX, arrived in Hampton, SC, as a child, with his mother, Marietta (Mary) JONES Middleton, sometime before 1900. Stories have it that his father, George Washington Middleton, died in Brazos Cty, TX. Seeking more information on him, his family connections in Louisiana (believed to be in Concordia Parish). Also, seeking information on Marietta (Mary) Jones Middleton (b.Feb/1860 in Georgia).
Thomas Searson, b. 1780, Beaufort,SC, m. Elizabeth H., child(ren) Thomas E. Searson, b. 1804, d. 1884. Seeking information on how/when Thomas or his ancestors arrived in SC. Also seeking information on the Stone/Fender family of Barnwell and Colleton Counties, SC.
