Descendants of William Brannock William Brannock was born about 1700 in Maryland. He had one know sibbling, Edward, born in 1703. Franklin Brannock, son of William and born 1750 had the following known children: 1) Train b abt 1770 2) William b abt 1783 3) Samuel 4) John 5) Robert 6) Henry Train Brannock, son of Franklin, son of William and born about 1770, married Caroline Jane Kenley (called Jane) about 1800. They had the following children: 1) Samuel Brannock b 1804 in Surry Co., NC Married Regina Penelope (Plutina) Dickens bet 1823/24 He died after 1880 in Surry County. 2) William Brannock b 1804 in Surry Co., NC Married Catherine Frye abt 1829 in Surry Co., NC 3) Wilson Brannock b March 23, 1814 in Surry Co., NC Married Lucinda Lowe January 14, 1834 in Surry Co., NC He died March 14, 1890 in Grayson Co., VA. 4) George Brannock born 1816 in Surry Co., NC married Mary Fletcher in 1840 in Surry Co., NC. 5) Nancy Brannock b btw 1820-27 in Surry County, NC. She married Leander L. Goodson btw 138/39 and died after 1900 in Grayson County, Virginia. 6) Prudence Brannock married Elijah Bartley January, 1844 in Surry Co., NC It is believed by some researchers that there were other children besides these given the difference in the ages. It is possible that there were children who did not live to adulthood. Train and Jane Brannock are listed in the September 26, 1840 minutes of the Meadow Creek Church of Christ. They were original members and founders. Penelope is also mentioned although it is not known if this is Penelope their daughter, or Penelope wife of Samuel. Train died between 1850 and 1860 in Grayson County, Virginia as did his wife, Jane. At the time of their death they lived on what was known as the Goodson Settlement in Grayson County which was owned by Leander Goodson and his wife and their daughter, Nancy Brannock Goodson. Samuel Brannock, son of Train, and his wife Penelope had the following children: 1) Henry b abt 1824 and married Sibernia "Sibby" Dickens in 1840. Their children were Dan, Julia, Elias, Eli, and Lee. 2) Joseph b 1834 and married Sarah "Sallie" Dickens. Their children were Mary, Matilda, William Ceymour, Celia Ann. 3) Mary E. "Polly" b 1838 married H.L. Dickens 4) Casewell b 1841 5) Jefferson b btw 1842/43 married Nancy Unknown. One Known child, Jefferson b 1871/ 6) Benjamin Franklin b 4/14/1843 married Margaret Emmeline Higgins. Children were Laura, Cinthia Alice, Isaac, Golman Emory, Thomas E., Josephine M., Andrew, Robert Allen 7) Celia b 1848 8) Polly b 1852 9) Rebecca b btw 1850/1854. She had children by but never married James Jesse Lundy. James J. Lundy was a constable in Surry County who was married and had another family. When Rebecca died between 1890 and 1891, her children were raised by her parents and by James Lundy and his wife. Some of the children went by Brannock, others after living with their father went by Lundy. They were: Amanda, John, Weldon, Morgan, General M., Isaac Reed, Curtis Charles, and Sally Ann.
