This is the scope of the Kofkin Family, originally from the town of Druya (now in Belarus) and currently spread throughout the world. The information here is the result of one-half of a lifetime's search, first for the relatives of my fraternal grandfather in Estonia, and then, as a result of serendipitous events occurring sporadically over decades, the discovery of the descendants of the Kofkins of Druya, many since renamed to Coffman, Kaufman, Kay and Covkin, but all are unquestionably "Family".

It began like many fairy tales: Once upon a time, a long time ago, a young man was given a shoebox of old photos of his grandfather's parents and eleven siblings formerly living in Estonia, but by then long thought to be lost in the Holocaust. What was revealed from that time is what you see here.

It thrills me not only to have found my family dating back to approximately 1760, but to learn to appreciate as never before possible, that I am the first-born son, of a first-born son, of a first-born son, of a first-born son, all Kohanim as are other descendants of our ancestors in Druya. And while the Family Tree you see here lists more than 500 of the direct descendants and their spouses, covering nine generations, it is still a work in progress, yet to include many more photographs than now appear, and to welcome the new additions that perpetuate the Kofkin Family.
