Why I'm Interested In My Genealogy
My interest in my ancestors began when I was married. We displayed the wedding photos of our parents and all of our grandparents near our wedding cake. I decided to invest in a video of the wedding and our reception because I wanted my grandchildren and great-grandchildren to not only see our wedding photos but to witness our ceremony and the celebration that followed which could capture a bit of our personalities. Then, as we began to start our own family, I learned that twins ran in my paternal grandmother's family -- after I had already conceived twins! Although I lost my twins early in my pregnancy my interest was captured. I decided I needed to know all I could about my ancestors. |
