Ursula Grzesik Zurawski is my grandmother. She recently passed away and one of the things she always promised to do with me was talk about family history. Before we could get to discussion, her illness took over much of her memory and I never learned as much as I would have liked or I think she would have wanted me to know. I really know very little about the family, but I figure its never too late to start learning. I know the lesson will be harder now, but I'm anxious to see what I might find.
Ursula was born Ursula GRZESIK on Oct. 2, 1916. She married Aloysius ZURAWSKI in the late 1930s. The couple had one son, James ZURAWSKI born December 15 1941. I am the eldest child of James ZURAWSKI and Penny KIOLBASA (daughter of Thaddius KIOLBASA and Loretta Louise PENNING).

I have recently learned that Ursula's parents were Joseph GRZESIK, (D. Dec. 9 1967 in Chicago. I have no additional information) and Rozalia BURTA or BURDA (B. Jan. 28, 1884, D. May 25, 1959 in Chicago.)I also have some limited information about other children that I am willing to share with anyone who is doing a related search.

The family lived in Chicago, Illinois. Other than this information, I have a few family pictures and am looking with other family members for what may be pertinent documents.

I am new to this search and don't have much to offer in the way of information or expertise, but any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks to all who read this and understand my sudden desire to research the life of someone who was so very special in mine.
