This was a picture taken in 1953 of my mother's graduation from X-Ray school at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Her sister was there, as was my uncle. They encouraged her to complete. This is how she worked and paid the bills while Daddy went through Medical School! The arrangement that the person in the middle is holding is the center piece of the table where they sat during this celebration.
