The Pinara, SC plantation home of Brigadier General Paul Quattlebaum (8 July 1812 - 18 October 1890). Also two pictures at bottom of the General when he was upper aged and when he was in his military wear. Since he was a signer of the Ordiance of Secession for South Carolina, the Yankees went off the main path to try and burn the plantation house. With the help of the family and slaves it was saved. His wife, Sarah C. Jones Quattlebaum said late in her life, "I have never been reconstructed."
