This is a rare find! This shows that my Uncle Alphues Cary Koon, Jr. (1918-1969) was not only present at the New York World's Fair and was present upon the occasion of the visit of their majesties, King George IV and Queen Elizabeth (the "Queen Mum) of England, but I know that he met them as well. It was here that he was a pre-med student at the University of Tennessee and saw a production of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, that he became a great dancer with St. Louis Municipal Opera, Ballet Theatre (now American Ballet Theatre), and went on to the Original Ballet Russe under Sal Hurok, Radio City Music Hall, and formed the Tampa Ballet in 1953!
