This is the death certificate of my grandfather, Alpheus Cary Koon, MD, husband of Jennie Carlye Powers Koon (1898-2001) - my most beloved grandmother. He is the son of Wiley Harrison Koon (1856-1939) and Susan Nancy Wilson (1865-1912). He is a descendant of four of the five reports on this web site. I am extremely proud of his service in World War I, as an officer in the Medical Corps! My very dear grandmother, Jennie Carlyle Powers Koon (1898-2001) always referred to herself as a "war bride". They were married in Macon, GA on November 20, 1917!
