The Koruseks of Highland Springs, VA.Updated September 7, 2002 |
I am researching Blazej (Mike) Kozuszek who came over from his home town of Bukowina, Poland. The name of his ship was the Georgia. It left the port of Triest, Austria, Hungary and arrived in the United States(New York) on April 15, 1905. On the passenger record his name was spelled Blariej Kozuszek. He left the U.S. again? and returned on March 3, 1906. This time the name of the ship was the Cheminitz. It left the port of Bremen, Germany and arrived in the United States(New York). He listed he was from Tarnograd, Russia. The spelling of his name was Biazej Korzuszek. The next time I find him is 1920. He is listed on the 1920 census with his wife Agnes (Agnieszka Maciocha), Sons John & Lewis living in Henrico County, Fairfield District, Highland Springs Village, Virginia. The spelling of the last name was Kosusek. How they (Mike & Agnes) got here is a mystery? 1905-1920? Pre 1905 is also a mystery. Any help would be great. My wife Michelle & I are also working on these surnames: Waller, Wynne, Thompson, Morgan, Floyd, Roberts, Liverman (Livermon), Maciocha, Lowrance, Madison, Lumsden & Calhoon. We have over 700 names in Family Tree Maker and would be willing to trade or help genealogists in anyway we can. Thanks! Happy Searching! |
