| I am researching the Kornegay family. Below is a synopsis of what I know.The Kornegay family arrived in the United States in 1709 or 1710. The family came form the Palinate region of Germany.The original family name was different (unknown to me)The family settled in Duplin County North Carolina. The family was wiped,out by Indians except for a young male named George.Since then the family has fanned out, mainly in the south.Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi. After the Civil war my direct ancestors moved to Texas, then to California. |
