THIRTY-NINE [sic] WOOD
DIED IN SERVICE
______
A list of 39 [sic] of the 50 service
men in Wood county who lost their lives in the late war has been compiled by
the local post of the American legion [sic].
The adjutant of the post is working hard to secure the remaining names
as it has been decided to make this list a part of the permanent record of the
post and enroll their departed comrades as honor [sic] members of the post.
The
names were originally secured for the memorial service to be held Sunday
afternoon when the French Memorial Diplomas will be distributed to the next of
kin of the deceased soldiers, which includes the names of soldiers, sailors and
marines of Wood county.
