I am researching the following families: - any EASTMONDs, originally from Devon, England, but now with some branches as far afield as New Zealand and the USA. I have a large amount of information but am always on the lookout for more.
- GREENSLADE, particularly the branch who lived in Cheldon, Devon, going back to Richard born 1771 in Cheldon, Devon, who married Ann CORNALL.
- BRITTEN: ancestors of the composer Benjamin Britten, mainly living in Tenbury, Worcestershire, England in the 17th century.
- GINDERS from Staffordshire, England, particularly a line of five men called Jeremiah Ginders, born between 1709 and 1829.
- FERNIE originally from the Strathmiglo area of Fife, Scotland, going back to Jame Fernie who married Janet RUTHVEN in Auchtermuchty in 1797.
- the KOUSSEV family from Bulgaria, descendants of the father of Metropolitan Methodii Koussev, born in Macedonia in about 1848.
- MORRIS, particularly John and Benjamin, probably brothers who moved from Carmarthen, Wales, to Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan in the early 1800s.
- and last but definitely not least, and certainly the most elusive of all, the PEARCE family of my great grandfather Dan, born in Cardiff, Wales in 1870. He married Rosanna OWENS in 1899 but what happened to his brothers Wyndham and Jack, and why aren't they or his parents on ANY census returns??????
Please e-mail me if you think you have a link to any of these families. kkousseff@tiscali.co.uk
