* My Family History in Kentucky and Ohio*

Updated October 7, 2004

I have been doing research on my ancestors since 1996. The primary names in Ohio are, Walters, Peoples, Watkins, Boyd, Deyarman, and Nation. Some of my early Ohio ancestors settled in nearby regions in Ohio as early as the late 1700's.

The primary names in Kentucky are, Howard, Lemaster, Nickell, and Elam.

If anyone has any additions or corrections to information provided on the following pages, please contact me.

I am always excited about meeting new family, no matter how distant. Please just drop a line to say hello.

  • Howard Descendants (1791 KB)
This is my line of Howard's from Salyersville in Magoffin County, Ky and neighboring counties.
  • Walters Descendants (1791 KB)
These Walters came through PA through OH and some went to IL.
  • Boyd Descendants (1792 KB)
These Boyds are from Belmont County, OH.
  • Peoples Descendants (1792 KB)
They originated in Ireland. They came through Maryland, Pennsylavania and into Ohio. There are a lot of them in Tuscarawas, Coshocton, and Guernsey Counties in Ohio.
  • Watkins Descendants (1792 KB)
These Watkins came from Kentucky, but I hit a brick wall there. If you have any ideas, feel free to contact me.
  • Elam Descendants (1792 KB)
They originated in England. The majority of my line settled in Kentucky.
