Searching primarily for the Shepherd family of Crawford County, Arkansas which would include the Hooten family of the same county and also Mullins which married into the Shepherd family, could possibly be spelled Mullen as well. The Kozal family of Michigan, specifically the Grand Rapids and Rockford, Michigan areas are related to the aforementioned family names. Information on these families as well as others related to these is desired, any information submitted on these families or others related to these will be used in accordance to the wishes of the person or persons submitting said information. Information on one Salina Mary Ann Catherine "Annie" (surname Osborn) (married name Hooten) is greatly desired, especially on the Osborn side, possibly spelled (Osburn) (Ozburn) (Osbourne). Information on the Lee family who donated the ground for the Lee cemetery at Schaberg, Arkansas in Crawford Co. is also desired. This Lee family is commonly believed to be related to General Robert E. Lee of the Confederate Army, Edward Lee, (possibly a cousin), b. 27 Sept. 1822 in S.Carolina d. Nov.1898, buried in Lee cemetery, Crawford Co. Arkansas, married Sabra Ann Rankin in 1843, b. about 1821-Tennessee, d. about 1875, buried in Lee cemetery, Crawford Co. Arkansas, had 7 children. Edward Lee, son of Henry Lee, born in Ireland, Henry came to Arkansas with his sons' family. Henry's wifes' name was Sarah, no surname available. Rev. William (Billy) Shepherd, b. about 1807,d. Jan.1862, buried in Bidville Cemetery, Bidville, Crawford Co. Ark. married Sarah (Sally) Peters, b. about 1810-Tenn. Rev. David Kozal married into the Virgil and Lela (Foster) Hunter family of Crawford and Sebastian Co. Arkansas in 1972, I also have information regarding the Hunter family that is quite extensive.
