I am researching my family. John Nordheim is my great, great, grandfather. I am unable to find any information on his parents. I have come up with all the names of his children their spouses and children. John seems to be the last to go by the name Nordheim. His children changed the name to Nortum. The majority of his children lived in and around Johnsonburg Pennsylvania, Elk County. I would like to find out where John Nordheim's parent where from. I am guessing there is a connection to Germany but I have not been able to confirm that. John was born in Punxsutawney PA, March 8,1853 and died in Johnsonburg, March 26, 1927. I am also Researching my husband's family. Kregel-Kreckel They originate in Nassau Germany and I have alot of information for them in St. Marys, Pa. Elk County.
