| This Kresge family originated in the U.S. with Conrad Kresge (Kroesge) who emmigrated from Germany to eastern Pennsylania in 17?? and settled on land purchased from William Penn. Conrad died 1805. Other main branches include: Gockley with the earliest known ancestor being Nicolas Caquelin (Gaglin, Gockley) emmigrating from Alsace in 16?? to eastern Pennsylvania. Bair, Levi K.; Herr, Abraham; Snyder, Jonas -- all settled in eastern Pennsylvania. Axarlis, Adramite; Koutsos, Antonios; -- both of Greek lineage living in western Turkey in 18??. Would appreciate any information. |
