Abstract from History of Washington County, TN 1988 by the Watagua Association of Genealogists with permission:, Darling Jones (1764-1848) was the son of Lewis Jones and Elizabeth Arnold Jones of Wake Co., NC. He married 1st in North Carolina, Nancy J. Nelson (1766-1843), daughter of William Nelson. They had three children: Rebecca, William B. and Henry Jones. He married 2nd, Nancy Huff (1816-1902). They had six children: Darling Jr., Lewis, William Henry, Isaac, Alfred and James Jones.
