Mildred Florence REED married Arllie Winfield AKERS, June 10, 1939, in Kansas City, Jackson County, MO.

Mildred was the only child of Lester Noel Reed and Carrie Florence Stewart.

Arllie was the only son of Henry Warren Akers and Effie May Leech.

Mildred's family came from Kansas, Michigan and Indiana and Arllie's family came from Virginia, Tennessee, Illinois and Kentucky.

Arllie's family history has been traced back to James S. Akers (wife Susannah Smith) who was born about 1796 in Buckingham Co., VA and died after 1860 also in VA.) James' grandson, James A. Akers (wife Martha Ann Helen Owens) brought their 4 sons and 2 daughters to Texas Co., MO in the early 1880s. After the War with Spain, some of the 4 sons settled in OK, TX, KS and MO.
