Table of Events from lives of the William Barron family and related families

Listed below in Table I are deeds, tax records and a few other important records pertaining to the Barron family in Georgia in the late 1700s and early 1800s.  They are color coded by groups -- persons or places.  There appear to have been 2 John Barrons and 2 Samuel Barrons in the Wilkes, Greene, Hancock area of Georgia during that time.  One John and one Samuel are likely sons of Prudence Barron (a third son, William, also appears).  In addition, there is a John Barron who first married Eleanor Miller, then apparently Nancy Gilleland, before moving to Jackson County; and there is a Samuel Barron who moved to Jones County (many researchers have accepted this man as Prudence Barron’s son, but currently available records indicates otherwise).  Where there is sufficient evidence to warrant, the Barrons who may to be Prudence’s sons are identified by red highlighting.  Those records highlighted with the same colors indicate sale of the same or related property.
