My research is devoted to several different families ....all of which are in various stages of completion. (Not that I ever expect to complete them)
Particularly interested in our Kubik genealogy and have not had much luck with getting back beyond the grandparents which is quite unbelieveable. I would be interested in contacting those with Kubik interests or the name Benesh or Dolezal.
I am also doing research on the families of Croat,Croatt, Wilgenbusch, Limke, Schultz, Graves, Graff, Graw. Anyone interested in these families feel free to contact me. I can furnish you with information on all of these families.
I have almost 6000 names in my Croat-Croatt FTM files. In fact we have published histories that are available if you contact me.Comprehensive Croat & Croatt families histories have been published. They can be requested by contacting me. A copy can be seen at the Iowa State Genealogy Library in Des Moines, Iowa.
My research also involves the Frank Kubik family. This is a Czech family and I have not had much luck in getting very far with my research. I have found many, many Kubik's none of whom that I can establish a relationship with. We have not gotten farther than the grandparents which is pretty hard to believe.Frank Vancil Kubik was born March 30, 1843 in Vsoke'Myto Bohemia. He married Katerina Benesh in 1868 ...They came to America May 24, 1881.....First to Oxford Jct.Iowa and then to Tama County Iowa and Marshalltown, Iowa.We know that his father's name was Frantisek Kubik ...the mothers name is unknown. The mother died and the father remarried . I have found some birth dates for some of the brothers and sisters. If anyone can claim one of these people please let me know. Katerina Sept.6,1837; Anna Dec.20,1839; Anna Jan.14,1849;Josef April 2,1851; twins Josef and Zofie Oct. 27,1852; Anna Dec.10, 1853 Children of second wife are Josef Jan.4, 1858, Marie May 5, 1860; Anna May 29,1863 and Vaclav Aug.11, 1863.
I also do extensive research on other family lines including Croat-Croatt; Wilgenbusch; Limke; Schultz; Graves; Graw; Graff, Tushaus, Kerkhoff.
I have a great deal of information on the Wilgenbusch's but not much entered into this file as of yet. Although I can answer most questions and have hard copy to find answers for you. Our Wilgenbusch's are in Satch.Canada, northeastern Iowa, St.Marys, Iowa. Quincy, Illinois and maybe Indiana.
