2.Benjamin2Davis (Nicholas1) was born 1731 in Wales, and died 1802 in Rowan Co., NC. He married RebeccaHarrell. She was born 1743.
Notes for Benjamin Davis:
Some time prior to 1749 he came to Amercia, where he settled in Virginia, south of the James River. He served in the Rev. War as a Lt. After the war he moved to Cleveland Co., NC, and settled above the Broad River with his wife Rebecca Harrell.
It is speculation that Benjamin was the father of Philip and Simon. But it is almost a certainty that he is considering the same surnames and place names keep coming up, etc. Others feel that that the lineage went from Nicolas to Philip, making Philip the son of Nicolas instead of Benjamin. In my research, I too have felt that Benjamin fits into this lineage at this point and am, thusly, placing him there.
