The Kurtz family according to a Polish historian came from Saxony in the 18th century and finally established themselves in Galicia in early 19th century. My grand father Stanislaw moved after living in different places in this part of Austro-Hungarian Empire to the city of Lwow-in Polish (Lemberg-in German, Leopol-in French and Lviv-in Ukrainian). I am the last direct male descendant of this Kurtz family.
