His 1st wife, Bridget, died abt 1870 and James remarried and had several more children including a daughter, Catherine Conlan born abt 1875, Catherine married an "ORTEL". A son Francis, Married a "Mary" they had three children, Joseph born 1906, Francis born abt 1907. John born abt 1910.
The sons of James Conlan SR, (James F. born 1863 and John born 1867), became master plumbers and started their business in the Bronx, New York. John died in 1892, (he never married). James Conlan family moved to Miller Place, Long Island and then to Glen Cove, Long Island abt 1912-1915 and continued in the plumbing business.
