The MORRIS RUSSELL BROWN UNDERWOOD Family is a lineage originating from Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee. Members of these families intermarried and migrated to Indiana, Illinois, Kansas and Oklahoma. The known originating names of this family are: John Henry and Anna(Daniels)MORRIS and Daniel and Catharine RUSSELL. The BROWNS and UNDERWOODS married into the MORRIS-RUSSELL line with John and William BROWN marrying sisters Nancy and Ida MORRIS and Thomas UNDERWOOD married Emma MORRIS. The Russell line was added with the marriage of Nellie BROWN(Ida's daughter) to Walter RUSSELL; son of Daniel and Catharine RUSSELL.
I am currently researching Illinois for John Henry MORRIS and his family, as well as tracing the following names that are also in our lineage: WILKINS, Austin m. Eliza J. MURPHY(Shelby Indiana), Chan UNDERWOOD(died Leavenworth Prison Kansas), BROWN, John and William,(need parents), Catharine RUSSELL(need maiden name).
