Always on the look out for those descendants of Archibald Henry Kyle, born July 21, 1842, in Scotland, came to Canada in 1849, died in Montreal, Quebec on October 22, 1927. He married Elizabeth McAlister Davidson on October 10, 1865 in Montreal. Archibald was a plumber by profession in Montreal for many years before retiring 20 years before his death at 86. In his obituary, honors were paid to him as one of the oldest Masons in the city, having joined the Prince Consort Lodge No. 52 and completing 54 years of membership. Although the family lived in several locations throughout Montreal, Archibald's address at the time of his death was with his son Archibald A. Kyle at 2791St. Urbain Street. Archibald and Elizabeth had 12 children of which 9 survived to maturity and they are:Robert James Kyle b. 12/26/1868;Mary Hall Kyle b. 4/21/1870;Isabella Davidson (Trussell) Kyle b. 9/10/1873, d.10/5/1878;Florence Elizabeth Kyle b.10/15/1875;Archibald Alexander Kyle b. 9/4/1877, d.12/18/1960;Charles John Kyle b. 4/28/1879, d.9/17/1947;William George Kyle b. 4/8/1881, d. 1962;Herbert Wilkes Kyle b. 8/31/1885, d. 1957;Grace Pearl (Mercer) Kyle b. 3/12/1887.We have only located the descendants of two of the children of Archibald and Elizabeth, those of Charles John and William George Kyle.
