| Hello to all who may be also searching for our ancestors. I'm looking for families with the surname Labay, La Bay or Labe. Charles Labe came to the US around 1866 and married Lucinda Paige/Page. Charles was from Canada and I first find him in the 1880 census in Cear River, MI. Lucinda's father was Augustus Page and he came from Lisbon, Saint Lawrence New York. Lucinda was born in Mass. Augustus was here in 1860 at least. His brother Moses and father David travel here and are found in the 1860 census of Brown County. Chas and Lucinda had 14 children, 12 in which made it to Adulthood. They continue to live in the Menominee/Cedar River area most of their married lives. Lucinda had 1/2 siblings Milo and Albert Montgomery. Lucinda's mom Lovina was married between 1854 and 1858. She married Augustus in Jan 7, 1860. Lucinda siblings married, some of the surnames are Bolan, Emery, and Williams. Any relatives are free to e-mail and ask questions. We also have branches with surnames of Barr, Hakes, Wellman, Pronteau. |
