I am researching Peter Labaree and family (Laberee, Laborie) (c. 1680-1741), French Huguenots who came to New England probably in the period 1715-25. He probably died in Newbury(port) Massachusetts c. 1741. I am particularly interested in discovering his origins in France and subsequent travels (if any) after the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes (1685) and his means of reaching America.
I am also interested in the English background of Francis Stockley (Stockly)(c. 1600-1650) and his younger brother John C. 1620-1673), who came to Virginia (c. 1630s) and settled in Accomack County.
From time to time I shall add to the list of family names and would welcome an exchange of information.
