Notes for John Eaton:
He was in Colchester (now Salisbury), MA with Anne and 6 children as early as June 26, 1640 when he was granted 2 acres of land. They moved to Haverhill, MA where he was one of 32 land owners in 1645 (see also direct ancestors John Ayer, George Corliss, and Joseph Peasley). Received a deed for more land on November 25, 1646. Made "Commissioner to End Small Causes" (Justice of the Peace) in April 1652. He was a cooper and farmer and dealt in real estate.

Notes for Richard Singletery:
He is first found in Salem, MA in 1637, Newbury in 1638 (took freeman's oath September 7, 1638), and Salisbury in 1639. He removed to Haverhill in 1651 where he was a town officer. He received a grant of land there on January 20, 1653.

He immigrated with his father in 1630, and was made freeman in Salem in 1635. He was a proprietor farmer listed on May 25, 1636. He was a Deputy in 1642. His will was probated at Salem December 12, 1643.

Notes for Richard Kimball:
He is the common ancestor of the great majority of American Kimballs. He immigrated April 30, 1634 on the "Elizabeth" from Suffolk, England where the Kimball and Scott families were well-established in the Hitcham area of Suffolk. (There was also a Henry Kimball on board who some say was Richard's brother, but more likely it was his first child.) He established himself as a wheelwright first in Watertown, MA (on land now part of Cambridge) and then in Ipswich, where he was granted a houselot on February 23, 1637. He was joint executor of his brother-in-law Thomas Scott's will in 1653-4. In 1664 he is listed as owning 43 shares in Plum Island. Upon his death at 80, he left a large estate, including considerable land holdings. This name appears as "Kemball" or "Kembolde" in early English records.

Notes for Robert Haseltine:
He and his brother John were among the earliest settlers of that part of Rowley which is now known as Bradford. He ran a ferry service across the Merrimack River. His marriage is the first recorded on the Rowley books.
