Through the diligence and hard work of James Lawrence LaBrash we have a good start on researching our branch of the LaBrash (LeBrash, Labreche {accent grave over the first 'e'} and various other spellings) family.

His research began in the early 1980s and he searched in France, England and Canada. None of his research was on the internet, so he has copies of birth, death and marriage certificates as well as anecdotal material from correspondences with family members. There was also extensive research with Census Records.

Our family is a close-knit, happy group of intelligent and hard working people. We will be enjoying our third family reunion (LABASH 2000) this year. It is a time that we eagerly anticipate each year and it is as desired by the youngsters as by the more experienced members of our family.

We are looking forward to expanding our knowledge of this wonderful family by including contributions from anyone with knowledge of it. We are especially interested in learning about
the first members to come from France. Our information begins with Francis LaBrash (abt 1789) who married Margaret LeRoy (Leroi) and had at least 7 children.
