This site is for the descendants of Pedro Labayen from the Philippines. Complete information is only available from his grandson, the late Julio Diaz Labayen (1898-1975) down to his descendants.Research on this was started by Patricio Lizares Labayen, MD, from information from the Locsin genealogy published in hard copy from manual records in Iloilo City, Philippines. Patricio continues to research the other descendants of Pedro.Ancestral information is severely lacking because of the baptizing of Filipinos with Spanish and Christian names and records lost in fires at the municipal buildings of Iloilo and Bacolod Cities.My task is to computerize and publish the results of this research. This project started with the three generations of the Lopez-Labayen family and is undergoing constant expansion. We will be very delighted to receive any additional information. |
