* Victor L. Labenski b. Abt 1810 d. January 03, 1883*

Updated September 29, 2006

I am researching the Labenski's and Labenske's family from Texas, California, Oregon, Oklahoma . Victor L. Labenski Born Abt 1810 in Warsaw,Poland and came to the USA . In 1830's And married Rebecca Stilwell Born Abt 1820
In 1850 Victor Labenski moved his family to Hays County and built this cabin for his family west of Onion Creek, by some springs that fed into the creek.
It is a long way from Warsaw, Poland, where Victor was born in 1810,, to the banks of Onion Creek. He was born into a well-to-do family and was well-educated, speaking four languages: Polish, Russian, French and English. He became an officer in the Polish Army, only to be exiled after his army was defeated in their revolt against Russia.
Leaving Poland, Victor went to Germany where he joined a group of emigrants who were leaving for America. Landing first in New York, where his brother Felix remained, Victor continued on to Indianola, Texas where he landed about 1838.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
