"HONOR FOR MY GREATGRANDMOTHER" I am searching for my Greatgrandmother, name unknown, date and place of birth unknown. My Grandmother Susie May Bird had a mother. She died along the trail somewhere and was buried on that spot. My Grandmother was five years old when she lost her. My Grandmother has stated in census records that she was born in Missouri DOB around 1889-1890. Her Father was William J. Bird and family report he was also born in Missouri. His Mother was Emeline Owens both birthdates are unknown. As of date I have been unable to find birthrecords in Missouri for any of the above mentioned. After hearing of my Greatgrandmother years ago I have wondered about her all of my life. Now I have the opportunity to do something. I have a loved one out there somewhere without a name and buried in a place unknown. I want to find her and honor her as she should be honored.I will always carry her in my heart but my goal is to find her so she will never be forgotten by others again. Help in any way will be appreciated. "The James Family" The other family I would like to know more about is the James family. Mary Belle James was born March 27,1867 in Union Co Arkansas. She was the daughter of G>A> James and Susan Seay(Seayer). She married Albert M. Lacefield Feb. 18,1890 Caldwell Co. Kentucky. She died August 1,1919 fof typhoid fever. She had eight children: Harry W. Lacefield DOB April 24,1891 Graves Co. Kentucky George G. He died of Tuberculosis August 24,1916 After Mary Bells death her two youngest children Marshal& Clifford went to live with their big brother Harry and his family in Montrose Colorado. This is how I believe we lost track of family members in the James family and also in the Lacefield family's. Trying to connect again and hoping someone out there can make that connection. |
