Notes for Isaac Daudin:
The fact that Isaac came from the Isle de Re, may be a clue to his religion early on. This area of La Rochelle was a Protestant stronghold all during the Reformation, and many Huguenots came from this Island. However, Isaac practiced the Roman Catholic religion, so if he was Protestant, it was at an earlier date, or possibly his unknown parents were of such persuasion.
