      1. Lambert1 Jans was born Abt. 1570 in Weisbegae, Friesland, Holland, and died July 19, 1642 in Amsterdam, Holland. He married (1) Hendrickje Jans Abt. 1596 in Holland. She was born Bet. 1578 - 1580 in Holland, and died Bef. August 28, 1627 in Amsterdam, Holland. He married (2) Teuntie Joosten August 28, 1627, daughter of Lauris Reynierss and Achtie Corneliss. She was born November 28, 1604 in New Church, Amsterdam, Holland.

Notes for Lambert Jans:
Some information places Lambert as living in the town of Wolvega, in the province of Friesland. Douglas Richardson published a history of this family in the New York Genealogical, and Biographical Record (126:24, and 111). The title of the article was "The European Origin and Ancestry of Joseph, and Resolved Waldron". By 1598 Lambert married Hendrickje Jans. In 1616 they were living in Amsterdam, Holland, when their daughter Claesje married. Hendrickje Jans died between 1616, and 28 August, 1627, the date of Lambert Janss second marriage which reads as follows: "28 August, 1627, appeared as before, Lambert Janss, from Welsbegae, a laborer, widower of Heyndirckie Jans, living in the wolvenstraat, and Teuntie Joosten, from Amsterdam, widow of Aert Corneliss, declaring she has been a widow for a year, attended by Lauris Reynierss, and Achtie Cornelis, her parents, living in the Vijzelstraat. Signed: both signed by mark (Marriage Intentions 432:332 FHL 0113192; transcription by Mr. Otto Schutte)". Lambert Jans, and Teuntie Joosten were married in the Old church in Amsterdam. Teuntie Joosten was baptized at the New Church in Amsterdam on 28 November, 1604, being the daughter of Joost Jansz, and Aecht Cornelis (DTB 39:52; FHL 0113144). As Teuntigien Joosten, 20 years old, attended by her mother, Aechte Cornelis, she had married first Arent Cornelissen at the Old Church in Amsterdam on 22 Jan., 1623, by Amsterdam marriage intention dated 07 Jan., 1623 (DTB 970:n.p.; FHL 113353; Marriage Intentions 427:390; FHL 0113190).

  2 i.   Clarsje2 Lamberts, born Bet. 1597 - 1598 in Wolvega, Friesland, Holland; died Unknown in Amsterdam, Holland. She married (1) Hendricks Melcherts May 08, 1615 in Old Church, Amsterdam, Holland; born Abt. 1595 in Holland; died Bef. May 06, 1637 in Amsterdam, Holland. She married (2) Roelof Jans May 24, 1637 in Amsterdam, Holland; born in Amsterdam, Holland.
  Notes for Clarsje Lamberts:
Claesje's marriage intention in 1637 says she was from Amsterdam. The first marriage on 08 May, 1616 took place in the Old Church in Amsterdam (DTB 969: N.P.; FHL 0113353), and it reads as follows: "23 April, 1616. Appeared as before, Eenrich Melcherss, lace worker, about 21 years old, attended by Melchert Juriaenszn, and Celitjen Hendrickxsdochter, his father, and mother, living near Raembrugge on the Koningsgracht, on the one side, and Claesjen Lamberts, from Wolvega, about 19 years old, attended by Lambert Janss, his father, and Hendrickjen Jans, her mother, on the other side. Signed: Heindrick Melsen, bride signed by mark" (Marriage Intentions 420:75; FHL 0113188). The second marriage intention of Claesje Lamberts reads as follows: "06 May, 1637. Appeared as before, Roeloff Janss, from Oudemarkckte (in the Province Overijsssel), tailor's apprentice, 27 years old, living in the Annenstraat. In the margin: She declared to the orphans court". On 15 May, 1637 the third Bann was read (446:176; FHL 0113197).

Hendrick married first in the Old Church in Amsterdam, Holland on 08 May, 1616 to Claesje Lamberts. The marriage bonds reads as follows "23 April, 1616, appeared as before, Eenrich Melcherss, lace worker, about 21 years old, attended by Melchert Juriaenszen, and Celitjen Hendricxsdochter, his father, and mother, living near Raembrugge on the Koningsgracht, on the one side, and Claesjen Lamberts, from Wolvega, about 19 years old, attended by Lambert Janss, her father, and Henrickjen Jans, her mother, on the other side.   Notes for Hendrickje Jans Lamberts:
Witness to the baptism in the New Church in Amsterdam was Annetje Tijssen (DTB 4:56; FHL 0113132), and they were married in sloterdijk, a suburb of Amsterdam. (Marriage Intentions 467:646; FHL 0113206).
